RŮŽIČKOVÁ, Anna
This bachelor thesis studies Kindergarden and a child from a family of Jehovah´s Witnesses. The theoretical part characterizes the religion of Jehovah´s Witnesses and describes its history and important features. For comprehensibility, the major aspects are illustrated using selected rhymes from the Bible. The major aspects have been chosen to provide the best possible understanding of the religious belief to the kindergarten teachers, so that they can better co-operate with the children of these believers. Based on the Bible, the second chapter outlines the view of Jehovah´s Witnesses on the child upbringing and care. In addition, the chapter describes children oriented publication activities of Jehovah´s Witnesses. The empirical part of the thesis brings the in-depth interviews with preschool teachers and parents, the members of Jehovah´s Witnesses. By open coding method, the thesis points out the main topics including approaches of parents and teachers, attendence to Kindergarten, relevant literature and scarse experience of teachers with these specific children. Finally, the thesis outlines the methodological recommendations for teachers.
